Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer, best known as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she began her career as an actress on stage in Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. After that, she performed in numerous Broadway shows before becoming an international star together with Li'l Abner, in the year 1957. Her album, It's Too Late for Tina in the following year. Louise first made it to Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden, in God's Small Acre, a drama from 1957. This film became a big hit and Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. As a student at Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. Her next unforgettable role was in 1964. She signed with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise worked successfully in both Hollywood as well as Broadway in roles that were more serious in order to dispel her image as a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series as well as Helen Magnus, but in the past few years has made a name as a producer on a variety of well-known TV shows such as Supernatural. Born in Essex August 28th in 1965. Her family then relocated to Toronto for her early years. After being chosen in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there ever since.
