Zoe-perry
Perry is the child of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). Two of her earliest television performances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother portrayed the character. Her parents, however, did not allow her to act until she was an adult due to the effects stress would have on their daughter. Perry was a shy teenager and did not act. The actress began her acting career in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was moved to the university from Boston University. Perry began her career as an actress in New York after graduation, performing in minor role on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But homesickness made Perry return to California and pursue a career as an actress in the theater. In 2013, she was a part of The Other Place on Broadway with her mother. In 2015, she performed with her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in nine episodes of the ABC thriller The Family in 2016. She had a regular role in the ABC political drama Scandal that starred her dad. The actress was also featured on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother. The role was selected via auditions having a strong connection with it.
